Now in its 10th year this popular family event takes place in pretty Lower Castle Park right in the heart of historic Colchester Town. Arena entertainment will include birds of prey flying displays, terrier racing, children’s entertainer, the goat show including bottle feeding lambs and kids, children’s petting pens, historical re-enactment with and much much more. Plus demonstrations of rural skills for you to enjoy. Arts, crafts food drink and gifts marquees as well as outside trade stands. Fully catered & with a licensed bar. And on Sunday at this event we are proud to host The Fun Family Companion Dog Show (Companion Dog Show Schedule) so bring along a canine friend and have a go (all proceeds from entries go to Marie Curie care)
Global superstar Craig David and his full live band will perform at Colchester Castle Park, on Sunday 2 June, bringing an arsenal of hits and his signature dynamic performance to his only full concert in Essex in 2019.
He will be joined by international DJ Sigala, who will be bringing a live full band set, following a smash hit performance from chart-topping artist and songwriter Becky Hill. And getting the crowd into the party will be the rising star DJ Nathan Dawe.
In the wake of massive success of his 2018 tour, Colchester will form part of a limited number of concerts across the UK in the summer of 2019, bringing Craig’s warmth and a phenomenal live show that includes the all the hit singles such as 7 Days, Walking Away, When the Bassline Drops, Nothing Like This, Heartline and I Know You.

Mummers, mimers, rymers, beggars, peddlars. Just soak up the atmosphere of the market. Revel in the joys of the fayre. Modern craft area. Wonderful food court with medieval and modern delicacies. Picnic areas. ‘The Pikestaff Inn’ selling real ale, mead, wines and chilled lagers.
Now in its 15th successful year set in Colchester’s beautiful Castle Park. There will be lots of old favourites and this year we have some new and exciting stalls and products to tempt you.
Featuring over 100 different stalls with local and international food and drink. There will be so much to see and try. Why not make a picnic or pick up lots of food and drink to take home.
The Pikestaff Inn real ale bar will also feature lots of different ciders and good cold lager.
In 2019 you can enjoy champagne, Prosecco and cocktails at our new bar and you can learn how to make the perfect cocktail at our Cocktail Creative Classes. Our Celebrity Chef Kitchen will be performing all day and of course is FREE.
Relax in the wonderful atmosphere of this much loved festival. You can have a picnic, listen to the music. Stroll around the stalls trying some of the artisan produced local goodies. Inside the Festival with FREE entry is the Colchester Rose Show. Over 100 years old, the show has some lovely exhibits. And YOU can enter, perhaps even win one of the silver trophies (see Rose Show Classes button below).
The entrance price is £4.00 for adults and with FREE parking in Kings Meadow it makes it the cheapest day out for all the family. We strive to be disabled friendly and always welcome suggestions on how we can improve. Well-behaved dogs on leads welcome.
